What is the mission of Solid Threads?

Our mission is to inspire people to embrace their true character and write their own story.

This t-shirt infused tale has become a blueprint of my own self-discovery over two decades in the making. Through many distinct chapters and hard-earned lessons I've stumbled upon ways of unraveling the story I was told, while learning to consciously cultivate new chapters that align with my true character.

Our true character is hidden within the ways we've grown to avoid our feelings and silence our voice. So many of us are raised within a cage of conformity, that by the time we reach adulthood, we're barely able to notice the bars. Our spirit is dithered, our curiosity contained, and our ability to hear our inner voice... let alone follow it, is lost.

In this way, the stories of our lives are far too often written by someone else’s hand, without our conscious consent. I know this all too well. By the time I was in my twenties, I had been told who I was supposed to be so many times, I had very little idea who I was, let alone what I was meant to offer the world.

Through some unforeseen combination of luck, wherewithal, and persistence, I've learned to attune to my true character, mostly by noticing the ways I get off track, and the courageous path towards my purpose continues to be revealed.

In this spirit, the mission of Solid Threads is to inspire others along their unique journeys towards self-awareness, empowerment, and acceptance. And of course, to have slightly less than too much fun along the way.
